Geotechnical Consultant Services for the Monitoring of Functionality of the ore conveyor of LARCO at Politika – Evia
The study concerned the geological monitoring of the stability of the E0 ore conveyor belt of MME, along a total length of 1,200 m, extending 300 m upstream and 900 m downstream of the Xyngi Bridge in Politika, Evia.
The monitoring programme included the recording of groundwater levels and discharge rates from monitoring boreholes, as well as the assessment of the evolution of instability phenomena in the wider area. The monitoring activities were carried out from November to May over a period of three years.
