The geological expertise focused on key geological aspects of the project, including the progress of the supplementary geotechnical investigation campaign, the development of the geological model, and the review and quality control of borehole cores obtained during the investigation works.
Particular attention was given to the development and refinement of the project’s geological model, as well as to the geological conditions at both the northern and southern tunnel portals. The assessment of the borehole cores and ongoing geological investigations provided essential information for the interpretation of subsurface conditions and supported the design and construction of the tunnel works.
