The geological study focused on the detailed geological mapping and assessment of the temporary diversion works, the general excavations along both the right and left banks, and the excavations associated with the development of the wadi.

During the assignment, detailed geological observations and measurements of rock mass discontinuities, including bedding orientations and faults, were carried out along the berms of the temporary diversion. As excavation works progressed, geological supervision and monitoring of the excavations were organised and systematically reviewed to support the safe and accurate execution of the project.

Initial geological views of the temporary diversion slopes were prepared at a scale of 1:100, forming the basis for the preparation of the corresponding geological plans and documentation.
